Hedgehog Preservation Society - Leaflets, Booklets and Posters

(CMP Copywriting Diploma)

Britain’s hedgehogs are in terrible danger. We need to act now.

The number of British hedgehogs has almost halved in the last fifteen years.

The break-up of hedgehog habitats in urban areas has been largely responsible for an 8.3% population decline, each year, over the last two decades.

At the present rate, the UK’s hedgehogs will be extinct in the next 20 years.

The British Hedgehog Preservation Society (BHPS) is committed to preventing this outcome.

Hedgehogs are part of our past

Remember the first time you saw a hedgehog in your garden? You probably felt a strong desire to protect that innocent little creature from an unforgiving world. Hedgehogs are part of our culture.

And we could lose them in this country forever.

How you can help them

You can buy ready-made hedgehog crossings for your boundary fences. These will contribute to the ‘hedgehog highway’, meaning hedgehogs can avoid crossing dangerous roads.

You can donate to BHPS at www.justgiving.com/campaign/HAW23.

And you can spread the word. Hedgehog Awareness Week runs from 30 April to 6 May 2023.

Encourage family and friends to ‘Think Hedgehog!’ Visit the BHPS website for more information. Or ring us for advice on 01584 890 801.
